i just upgraded from SIM 7.5 to SIM 7.6 and then wanted to apply the hotfix. But it says:
HPE Systems Insight Manager 7.6 found.
SIM Mode: x64
C:\Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\config\globalsettings.props not foun

- No "HPE Systems Insight Manager" found on this system
I cannot find the globalsettings.props elsewhere on this computer.
How can i upgrade the server?

I'm using SIM 7.6 with Gen8 and Gen9 machines running ESXi version 5.5. I'm using the iLO IPs to discover the hosts, using Agentless Monitoring. The host also have the management bundle loaded to help AMS see host information.
I'm seeing a lot of host information after discovery (OS version, host name, etc), however the host's IP address is missing. Since this is a not a field you can directly edit, I can't add it later. As a result, I can't get the proper HW status to poll using the hosts and my events that are tied to hosts do not work since traps will not populate the events table for the host (only iLO).
This seems to be sporadic - it's not servers and those with identical iLO FW levels and host OS versions behave differently. Sometimes I just need to remove/re-discover the machines. Another strange this is the machines seem to discover properly in IRS.
Has anyone seen this? We're not in a position to switch to OneView yet for a few reasons.

I have some events which i've setup to email out, but we're changing out email addres the events should get mailed too. When i try to edit the task i get a message saying i'm not authorised and that happens with every account i try to use. I saw on another thread this is a issue on SIM 7.6 which were running
Anyone know if there is a file i can manually edit to change the address its been sent to.I've attached a screenshot of event i used to have to some EVA's. The box in red is the address i wish to amend for this event. Please note i have to HP SIM servers and about 4 monitor events i need to change

SIM: version 7.6.0
Target: ProLiant DL380 Gen9, Windows Server 2016
SIM is not able to discover servers with Windows Server 2016.
Error: "Critical: There are no valid WBEM / WMI credentials for the system(s). "
Discovery of servers with Windows Server 2012 R2 works fine.
I use same settings (Credentials, HPE agents, Windows Firewall, GPOs, etc.) for all systems.
Can anyone help?

I have nothing but troubles with VCRM. If I remove it from my SIM server, does any know if it will cause any problems with SIM if it is not there? Is VCRM required for SIM?

I have a server that I am getting communication errors on. It says the event category is Power or Thermal Events.
Description A communication error has been detected
Event Category Power Or Thermal Events
Problem Description: Unable to log in to Management Processor 10.1.12.9 in server iloBESX1 due to incorrect or missing credentials.
Recommended Actions: Please check if valid management processor credentials are configured in Options->Security->Credentials or Options->Power Management.
I can browse to the ilo port and login, so I believe the credentials I have setup for the server are working. Any ideas why I would be getting this?

I just downloaded the newest Gen9 SPP and when I try to inventory most of my servers remotely using the smart update manager (version 8 comes in the SPP) I get the error "Failed to copy Inventory/selfInventory xml files to host machine from remote node"
If I go on the remote server and look at the sum logs, it shows "Node localhost is up to date, no updates were needed or nothing was installed before exiting. " But I know this is incorrect, there are updates in the SPP that are not installed on the server.
If I load up a previous SPP with an older 7.x SUM it will inventory fine (but show in the web interface that the server is up to date as I'd run that SPP months ago).
Does anyone know what could be causing this?
I've been searching all over the Internet to find out if it's possible to install HP Systems Insight Manager on HP ProLiant DL360 G5 & G7 servers running on OS VMware ESXi 5.5.0?
The reason I want to install Systems Insight Manager (SIM) is when a hard drive on a RAID fails, I can be notified via email. It would be nice to knew when a hard drive fails so I can quickly fix the issue.
If it's not possible to install SIM on HP server running OS VMware ESXi 5.5.0, is there any recommendations to help make my solution possible?

VCRM 7.6.1.0, VCA 7.3.5.0, SMH 7.6.2.1
VCRM on one server, VCA on other "client" servers.
The VCA on all of the other servers connects to the VCA and shows available updates, but it is not possible to select any updates.
VCA is using username and password authentication to a local user on the server hosting the VCRM. the named user is a member of a group which I have tried specifiyin in SMH as user, operator, and administrator
The account used to login to SMH on the "client" servers is a member of the local administrators group on the client server.
I have reproduced the issue on three different servers in Chrome, Firefox and IE
Restarting the VCA and all other HP services on the "cleint" appears to have no effect.
The VCA log ony shows the service starting and stopping
The VCA on the server hosting the VCRM does not display the issue.
Any suggestions as to what I've missed would be appreciated.
I am doing a new install on a Windows 2012 R2 server trying to install SIM 7.6 to a Cluster of SQL servers, thus creating the DB once the installation is complete. I have tried setting the instance name for the host and instance, the instance\instance for the host name, and instance in instance, left the instance blank, port is 1433.
The service account that I created has every right known to SQL and SQL Stuide/Manager is set up correctly.
I forgot the User Name and password to HP system management homepage.
Is there a way to reset it?

I install HPSIM7.6 to manage HP proliant servers. When I delete some Host records(not all host records), the other hosts are missing on table view. But I can see the other hosts on tree view.
Is there any solution about this issue?
I've been looking over the Internet on how to accomplish this but I haven't found a solution yet.
I received notification from HDD which fails but I also want to received notification for HDD that will fail.
what I have found is this:
In SIMS, go to Options, Events, SNMP Trap Settings.
Click the drop down box by MIB name and select cpqida.mib
CLick the drop down box by Trap name and select (SNMP) Physical Drive Status Change (3046)
In the Severity box, select critical.
But that already configure in that way.
I went to the last server in which this ocurred, a generated alert for a predictive HDD Failure, and looked into the logs for the MIB responsible and the its cpqida.mib so I don't know exactly where to look

I'm working on setting up a custom tool in HP SIM (7.4.0). When I use CMS tool and uses a batch script to run, it completes successfully and triggers the script sitting on the CMS server. But If I change the script to a powershell script, the task gets stuck in 'Running' state and the script doesn't get initiated.
I created a custom CMS tool, and then attached the tool with an Automatic Event handling task (run tools only when critical event triggers).
If I use the below batch script, the task completes, and updates the output file.

I checked and confirmed the powershell execution policy is configured as 'Unrestricted'
I also checked the access permissions, and everything looked fine.
I checked on servers with powershell version 2.0 and 3.0
Just wondering if someone can shade some light, as to why the script isn't executing. Could it be because of the PS version, or perhaps CMS tool doesn't support PS script at all.

I see the following issue. After start the cpqsrhmo.exe process rescans the existing files in the repository. It's very very very long. It tries approx 3 days.
I configure the VCRM to download only Win2008R2/2012R2/2016 categories.
But VRCM scans and downloads a lot of RPM files like:
etc
How to stop downloading and scanning all RPM files ? I don't need these packages at all.
I use the latest version of VCRM Version: 7.6.3.0 (20 Feb 2018) on the Windows.
Any reboot of this server is the nightmare.
