Has anyone encountered this issue before?

It is now not working again.  I've updated VRCM to the latest verion 7.6.0. 

One thing I can't seem to find anything newer for VCA other than ver. 7.3.5 which is pretty old. 

Is HP moving away from VCA/VCRM to firmware updates?

I am experiencing the same problem in all my ESXi servers , all of them discoverd good but and then showing me the error in the events log:

The Data Collection task could not complete due to a timeout or the task was stopped by the user. A timeout indicates problems with the instrumentation (SNMP/WBEM/DMI) on the target machine 

They all have the suitable agents for hpsim , and we are working with WBEM .

Because of this problems seems they cannot report on any problems  and therefore my environment is not safe 

What can be wrong ? please help , its really urgent

if this is not helping much i can tell when im trying to install the HPSIM, it says after i sat the administrator and domain in it says, this page cant be displayed: res://D:\HPSIM\WIN\SETUP.EXE/ look at first screenshot

then i press ctrl + f5 to reload the site and then it is completly white and in the top it writes: res://D:\HPSIM\WIN\SETUP.EXE/installshell.htm look at second screenshot

My issues are numerous and I think I may have only scratched the surface. firstly it stemmed from a failed upgrade from 7.5 to 7.6. Couldnt uninstall the 7.6 so had to 'hack' around it to force it to allow me to reinstall. had issues so started as fresh as I could with new DB etc

Anyway, niw its reinstalled with a fresh DB, I have no collections, and even through the discovery has been run none have appeared. I get a message telling me I dont have rights to access the scheduling page when setting up the email alerts ebven though I've set the correct users as full admins with full rights, The Manage Communications page tells me it no longer exists etc etc

Overall its a bit of a joke that this software can be this bad when its so critical to a lot of infratructures.

Anyone else seen this or am I just THAT special?

My HPE SIM shows my Proliant DL 380 G6 Server only as "unknow"

When I try to send a test trap, the agent via control panel gives me following error message:

The Trap could not be generated.

Please insure that the Host Agent ist enabled an running.

All HP Agent Services are running.

System Management Homepage is installed.

Re-Install did not solve the problem.

Are there any logs i could check?

OS: Windows 2008 R2 SP1

Hello,  we have Systems Insight Manger 7.6. installed. We want use mail.office365.com Mailserver to send event messages. Send a testmail failed. The error is: "The email could not be sent: could not connect to the smtp host."  I think we should use Port 587, but i cant specify the port. Does anyone know where i can specify to Port?

I am trying to create a cert in the SMH under Settings\Security\Local Server Certificate.  When I enter in my information under the 'Create PKCS #10 Data" box and I press Create, I get an error at the top of the screen that states: "Error: An error occurred while creating the PKCS #10 Certificate Request". 

No idea what is going wrong.  This server is behind a firewall and instead of using the process id to access this SMH, I am using my own credentials for that domain.  Could that be the issue?

I am on the way to upgrade the first servers to 2016. So I now run into the problem that with Server 2016 and Agents Version 10.60.0.0 I am no longer able to get the status of the physical hard disks.

If I check the OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.5.1.1.6 there is nothing around. Even the Storage Table is empty...  .1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.5.1

Did I miss something? Is this no longer supported or just mssing in the actual release of the Agents?

Hi all, had an issue with a power supply failing on a DL380 G7 with the error logged to the IML. The error logged (I don't have a screen shot as the issue is now marked resolved in the IML (ILO 3) unless someone can point me to a historical log locally) was as best as I can remember 'Caution, power supply failed, power redundancy is lost'. 

Beacuse of the Caution category, this error was not logged in HP SIM or in the ESX Console (machine is an ESX Host) subsequently 2 days later, power was lost to half the rack and this time Critical category alerts were immeditaly logged for other Servers. On the host in question, it went dark as their was no redundant power supply which we didn't know had failed.

Has anyone seen this 'Caution' error and is there any option to change it to Critical. Or is there a way to upgrade any alerts coming in to HP SIM marked as Caution to Critical. My feeling is the alert is being miss categorised by the ILO as if I pull the power cord an Critical alert is generated, but if the power supply fails only a Caution is logged, yet the outcome is the same. We can see similar alerts being logged as Critical from Windows hosts where they are running the system management homepage agent so this feels like an ILO specific issue. 

I also posted this on the ILO forum but didn't see any repsonses.

I have a P420 raid controller providing local storage to a machine running ESXi 6 and another P420 raid controller running on a Windows server 2012 r2 machine. Both are custom built using various hardware for a home lab
I have just installed HPE systems Insight manager to add both controllers for setting up SMTP disk alerts however I can't seem to locate them when using the discovery - can someone point me in the right direction for this?

Hello all, i have some questions about 7.5 and upgrades

1-) Does SIM 7.5 is compatible with Windows Server 2012 R2 Server core? I found this official documentation about system requeriments, and dont say nothing about 2012 server core ( http://h20566.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?calledBy=Search_Result&docId=c04764057&docLocale=en_US)

2-) I need to upgrade my SIM version 6.3 to 7.5: what is best for me? upgrade 6.3 to 7.5 or unistall the 6.3 and install 7.5 ?
